What is Chili Carlo?
A bilingual platform that connects business owners ready to hand over with motivated buyers, then supports them with tools all the way to the deal: messaging, NDA, data room and transition plan.
Are you a broker?
No. Chili Carlo doesn't negotiate for you, doesn't touch the sale price and doesn't give legal, tax or financial advice. We provide the meeting place and the tools. For the transaction itself, work with an accountant and a lawyer.
Is it available across Canada?
Yes, in French and English from day one. You pick your language, the other side picks theirs.
Who's the little pepper?
That's Chili Carlo, your guide. He tells you where you stand, what's missing and what's next. Just enough heat to keep things moving.

I don't have much money. Can I really take over a business?
That's exactly who we built Chili Carlo for. Sellers here accept a long transition and some form of vendor financing. Your seriousness, drive and plan count as much as your capital.
What do I see as a Bell Pepper?
Habanero listings, with their summary. Other listings and the ability to write to sellers open with the Jalapeño plan.
Why sign a commitment?
Because sellers share sensitive information. The commitment confirms you're genuinely looking to take over, that you keep everything confidential and stay respectful. That's what earns their trust.
Sellers
Will my staff or customers find out I'm selling?
Not through Chili Carlo. Your listing shows neither your name, nor the business name, nor its address. These stay masked until you and a buyer both accept the reveal.
What is vendor financing?
You agree that part of the price is paid to you over a few years, out of the business's profits, rather than all at once. It's often what makes succession possible for a young buyer.
Why do sellers pay?
Your plan funds your listing's visibility and the deal tools. It also keeps the platform serious: listings are active and kept up to date.
What's the difference between Serrano and Habanero?
With Serrano, your listing is visible to Jalapeño buyers. With Habanero, it's visible to every buyer, Bell Pepper included, shown first with the Featured badge, and you see your audience statistics.
Privacy and tools
How does my information stay masked?
Identifying information lives in a table separate from the public listing. Rules enforced by the database itself make it invisible to anyone who hasn't completed the mutual reveal with you. Even a technical query can't pull it out.
Is the in-app NDA worth anything?
Every signature is timestamped and tied to the exact version of the text signed. For the final deal agreements, your professionals draft the appropriate documents.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime, at no cost. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. For sellers, the listing is paused after a short grace period.
